*looks around* Have I been missed?! Last week I made a conscious decision not to publish a ‘Saved To Favourites’ blog. Truthfully, the past two weeks have been a whirlwind and I didn’t have anything worth saving to include in this blog. I’m just being honest. While this week has been a bit dry, I did come across a few notable things that need to be saved to your favourites!
While searching for a birthday gift this week, I stumbled upon Dior’s latest scent, J’adore In Joy. This fruity floral perfume infused with key notes of Fleur de Sel, Ylang-Ylang, and Peach was an instant must-have. I don’t stray far from my usual scents, and this is definitely in the family. It’s not overpowering, it’s light and is a breath of fresh air. I don’t like overpowering scents, I’m more of a complimentary kinda gal so this is perfect. These days I have to pay special attention to what I purchase because a lot of ingredients in perfumes activate my allergies and lead to headaches and sinus issues but, I’m looking forward to adding this to my Dior perfume collection. P.S. The Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is SO so good as well!
British song-bird Ella Mai, whose goal is to bring back the nostalgia of the 90’s with her R&B hits, recently dropped her self-titled debut album and it’s been in constant rotation. R&B will always be one of my favourite genres and I’m happy that I have something young and fresh to listen to. Apart from her singles, Boo’d Up and Trip, two of my favourite tracks on the album feature two legends in the industry, John Legend (Everything) and Chris Brown (Whatchamacallit). Take a listen!
Harry Potter reigned supreme over my high school years and I’ve been an avid follower of all things, J.K. Rowling, ever since. I was beyond thrilled when the HP spinoff Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them movie debuted and now I’m counting down the days until the second film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald starring the brilliant Johnny Depp arrives in theatres. If you’re into wizards and magical beings and creatures, you’re going to want to watch this!

Is there something that you’ve been meaning to do but keep putting off? Are there dreams that you wish you could pursue but you haven’t? My advice to you is to go for it! Remember, “Fortune favours the bold.” This is one of my all time favourite quotes because it speaks so much truth. In life you have to be fearless, brave, courageous and focused in order to achieve the impossible. Be fearless, be bold!
Enjoy your weekend!
